The week in the Octave of Christmas (including Christmas Day and the following seven days) are inspiring for me. On the Church calendar are days that remind us of challenges in the lives of the saints. December 26th is the feast of St. Stephen, deacon and martyr. The Sunday immediately following Christmas Day is the Feast of the Holy Family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. They struggled many times including the year when, on the return journey home from Jerusalem after the Passover feast, Mary and Joseph could not find Jesus.

Which one of them lost God?

Here attached is the homily I delivered this past weekend (preceded by the reading of the Gospel).

Peace and God bless.
